Take note of the one which shows actual photos of the players as icons over their in-game racers! It actually makes you look like the person you're racing! Notice Mario's hat and signature mustachio added to the bloke's icon in the foreground. I didn't get a chance to read through the arcade pamphlet yet, but I recon your picture is taken from the cam located above the screen.
