depends what your looking for.
HL2 is a brilliant experience.
UT2004 is great in single and multiplayer but better in multiplayer
Rome Total War if you want the best strategy game in the world
Guildwars is an excellent MMORPG and has no monthly fees, best that ive played anyway.
Vampire the masqurade bloodlines is an awsome but buggy RPG.
and if you dont mind the old graphics get your hands on deus ex. absolute class. forget the sequel though.
