see, evn nintendo power acnowledges that but still does nothing to stop it from occuring in tourneys. They must know something we dont O.o
alright, heres the bottom line, i hate cheating, i dont enjoy in anyway to have an unfair advantage by means of something not meant to be done in the game. I hate nothing more that playing a good game of starcraft after finding out the opponent had raked the map.
However, its different in SSBM. These are faults tourney calibur people use. You watch a match, most certainly you will see L canceling and wavedashing. Im not saying its impossible to win without them, you proably can through hard practice. However, using them opens ways to new combos, strats, counters, etc.. People in the tourneys are hardcore, most of them to try their hardest to win. That can be more easily accomplished by l cancel. Its kind of like hopping aboard a bandwagon. We do it because everyone else does, and no, that does not justify cheating. Somehow, through everyone assimilation it into their tactics, it has become a part of the game. Most know about it. Spend a day on smashboards and youll know all about it. Nintendo doesnt do anything to prevent spreadage. Seriously, im postive nintendo or at least the government would mind if tourneys were found to be unapproved.
So what im saying is, yes, theyre cheating but what are we gonna do? Will you join in with the pros and strive to implement this exploit into your strats? Or will you sit back, knowing of it all but not using it because you believe it to be immoral. Since everyone knows of it and does it, its not really a surprise, is it?
