to wavedash, it doens't matter HOW you jump since you're going to be skipping the whole jump animation anyways.
but If you're gonna Use someone like Luigi.. wavedashing back aint' gonna help you set up projectiles, now foward wavedash to down smash would be good.. mabye..
i'm not a big Luigi user.
Also, no character actually REQUIRE wavedashing, closest two woul dbe Samus and Yoshi though *but Yoshi's wavedash isn't all that good*
For yoshi, it's ok to Roll SOMETIMES. but dont' do it often.
and uh.. yeah. >_> *is mainly a Ganon/Marth/Doctor Mario user*

i posted a reply to this much earlier but it wasnt posted for some reason so ill post again. Fox with his avaerage sized wd has an ok start to wd back and blaster spam to rck up points. Im just saying that since im mostly a fox player, wd forward to a d smash insnt gonna be too effective especially with the horrible lag time in that. Its just to say with me, only forward wd are seen and i see most of that in tourney matches as well. I think back has somewhat of a more use.
Well, in general yea, but i think its somewhat more inportant to learn to wd back first...
To wd right before a shorthop is fastest but also the hardest...
Thats why i said in other posts that wd wasnt so neccasary in tourneys as l cancel.
In all, it really depends on your plsying style and character, f wd isnt for me as much as some other characters.
Personally, i dont use infinites too much, in matches for fun, well thats just cheap against my less experienced friends... In tourneys, they just get angry at me and get back at me in the next stock or match.
