RE: make your own Revolution Controller

Hmm... Lkr was pulled to the dark side in a hurry, and he liked it all, and is now trying to pull in everyone else. It seems true that almost everyone that touches the PSP gets pulled in, except those of us that don't have the money and are looking forward to what Nintendo has to offer, although the same thing happened when DS was released. Even if I had the money and wasn't planning to spend it on anything more important like PC hardware, I doubt I'd like the PSP much more than I already do, the only thing it does that just about nothing else can do is have incredible graphics. DS can play movies and music, just put one of the several available media carts in it and you've got what the PSP offers but cheaper, minus some graphic quality of coarse.
It's sad to see some good games sold off, Splinter Cell and Goldeneye are some good multiplayer DS games. I'm guessing you don't expect to be playing them with anyone or you somehow managed to get bored of the multiplayer.
The PSP screen won't be very decent over a few months or so, especially without a protector case. You can get a portable folding DVD/music player for cheaper (any maybe really cheap if you look in the right place) or just use the movie/music addon for DS, you already have a portable game player so why get another? If you like features and wouldn't mind spending the extra cash, you can get a powerful pocket PC for $300-$500 USD, which could play movies, music, games, browse the web, and loads of other stuff to organize life, not to mention it's a bit smaller than PSP.
It's a bad sign when PSP replaces a bunch of games that are just about all for Nintendo systems. Consider all your alternatives before choosing the dark side, you've already suffered losing some good games and you can stop before you lose more to the PSP obsession, you must... resist! I'm probably trying too hard, but at least keep your alternatives in mind so you can choose your path more wisely.
