The machine will actually come with firmware 1.52 as standard, and -
The update to 2.0 will be included on the demo disk with the machine.
Thankfully, there's no region encoding on games, but -
There is region encoding on movies. UK machines are region 4. No Japanese movies, then, as far as we can tell.
Online gaming requires registration on a special website - so little chance of playing against US/JP gamers.
The Spiderman 2 UMD is not in the box, but via an online registration offer.
