YES, YES, YES. I'm glad I'm not the only one who found LOTR to be overrated. Seriously, apart from not being quite lacking and having bad actors (as you stated), it's also just mind-numblingy boring. I'm hoping King Kong will be good, and I have nothing against Jack Black in person, but I'm just not sure he's the right actor for the role he's gonna play.
