Wait, wait, wait, you LIKE this idea?
Sure, it's a somewhat smart move by Sony from a business standpoint, but from a consumer standpoint your getting screwed one way or another. It's a deal if you don't have one already, but it just further proves how ridiculous the PSP in terms of cost. $300 just so it's usable...
If Sony wanted to make a move that would please customers (as well as to help disguise the PSP's expense, i.e. deception, a popular Sony tactic), they would have dropped the PSP to $200 with less stuff, and then people would spend $100 to get the 1GB card and everything. This tactic would be sneakier, but in the end a bit more consumer-friendly just because of the flexibility.
The way I see it, your getting screwed one way or another. $300? That's more than a Revolution AND the new Super Smash Bros. Hmmm...multimedia portable with no games, or revolutionary console alongside an online sequel to the greatest multiplayer game ever made? Seems and easy choice to me...
