This is taken from the article I link to above:
"In hardware terms, the Nintendo DS actually outsold the PlayStation Portable in the latter's launch week - the DS had over 37 per cent market share, compared to 30 per cent for the PSP, which represents about 160,000 units sold of the PSP, and almost 200,000 of the DS."
That said, if selling 160k is no small feat, then selling 200k ds's in that same time frame must be abso-feckin-lutely incredible based on your remarks.

You're completely readingmy remarks wrong. I'm not even talking about DS' sales, for starters. But selling more than 80% of your total amount of hardware in one day is alot more impressive than what the DS did.
I'm not talking about DS sales vs. PSP sales. I'm talking amount sold vs. amount made, which is incredibly impressive for what the PSP did.

Im sorry but your argument is illogical.
If Nintendo made 5 DS and sold out 100%, by your logic, that would be better than that of the PSP's 160k units moved. Is this what you're honestly trying to tell me?
I'm not misconstruing your post at all, but pointing out that percentages of product moved vs made doesn't account for the marketshare, of which Nintendo garnered 37%, while Sony only acquired 30%.
