I'm thinking Nintendo has screwed this up pretty bad...
Don't get me wrong, Mario Kart DS works just great, but I have a few problems.
First only 20 tracks and NO battle mode?
But aside from that, it's way to hard to search for friends.
And your limited to a mere 60?
I can see a little blue man on the top screen when I'm playing, but I can't comunicate that I want to play with "whoever" this blue guy is.
Plus, that blue guy can't tell what I'm doing.
Why, Can't I call up a list of all my friend who are online at the moment and see what they are up to?
Why if Nmaster64 is racing his 3/4 race, why can't he tell me that he'll join me after he finishes?

Okay, beyond that, these 60 friends are stored on your cart. Imgine if your MSN list was stored on your computer, and not the net, and everytime you logged on from a different computer you had to re-enter the whole list?

So, if I want to see if Mormon will pwn me as bad in Metroid Prime Hunters as he has in Mario Kart DS, I have to re-enter his friend code (or a brandnew one I guess).

But the biggest problem is they are ingnoring the biggest rule of "Object Oriented Programming" - code reuse.

Every game cart has to have all the software for the wifi network, and if they want to add picochat or DSpeak to the wifi network, they have to add to the physical game packs.

So, even if MPH has picochat, Mario Kart DS still won't.
