Actually, I showed one of my best friends who was already DS-friendly (though he has yet to get one, I'm helping him put together his new PC from scratch... He's scavenging his school computer pile) Mario Kart, and he certainly liked it, but didn't think too highly of it since it was pretty much plain old Mario Kart at first glance. I was entirely suprised when ten minutes later I couldn't get him to put Meteos down. Who knew? Well, by the end of the trip he was addicted to both... He's still not going to get a DS anytime soon though, because of monetary reasons.
