512MB is the minimum, and the video card must be at least 128MB. Since they're still a decent price, my recommendation is at least 1GB DDR400 RAM and 256MB video card for any gaming system. At the cheapest, the RAM goes around $100 and the video card about $150, and I can help find good hardware if you want.
