It's a very different method of control, which takes time for people to get used to a switch either way. I try to look at it from a technological standpoint. In this case PC FPS being better because aiming is as fast as you can move your hand no matter what your sensitivity setting while analog is limited by the range of the sticks, and having such small sticks increases the margine of error and makes it really hard to aim accurately without autoaim (which is cheating for PC and unrealistic for everything). Analog also takes more fine-tuning to find the preference for best balance of sensitivity for both quick spins and accurate aiming, which even when perfect can't beat the capabilities of a perfectly configured PC FPS.
