Even then it was too early to remake any of them, DS is the first time where I think it would be reasonable to remake a GB game given the 3D capability.
Anyways, there's no point in debating with Pokemon fanboys, they never agree with anything against it. Heck, I bet you guys would be happy with pure joy if they remade a GBA Pokemon game for DS or even back in the day a GB game for GBC. So... I'll shut up now.
