Ah, so they aren't ripping me off by making me pay twice for the same games, they're in fact forcing me to buy 6 for the price of 4 (so to speak) so I can give 4 to friends. Gee, I wish I could sell or trade them, I bet some of you would pay $5 if nobody else wanted to give you theirs.
At least now I'm really considering that Orange Box. I think I'll see what happens on eBay.
