Depending on where you live in the world, you can and can't. Only due to the fact that countries have certain models. What we currently have over here is the 40g PS3 model only on sale in retail because the 60g model that can play PS2 games has unfortunately been discontinued. Shame I have one haha!!!... gathering dust as we speak >_>
