Remember the old day when all you ever played was N64? Well now the 64 is hittin the DS. Its first successful game for DS is Super Mario 64. It’s the good old 3D Mario, jam-packed with extras. It has a lot more stars (150 in all) than the original. You can play as not only Yoshi, Luigi, and Mario, but now WARIO!
The minigames rock; each player has hidden rabbit that when you catch them you unlock a new mini game, there are 36 total. Yoshi’s are puzzles, Mario’s are adventure and touch screen, Luigi’s are casino games, and Wario’s are pinball and touch games. All the minigames use the touch screen!
The multiplayer is loads of fun. My 2 friends and I play and it’s great. You only need one game(download play) but we all have it anyway. We make up our on rules and play until the power is out. The theme of multi player is pretty cool: get the stars while wearing caps and try to beat your friends.
To beat the game you have to get all 150 stars, including the hidden stars. There are 15 levels and 20 hidden star stages. The game doesn’t get boring because you’re always trying to 150! The actual game play does not use the touch integration unless you use it for control. The DS’s graphics help enormously to the game play. Its fun to have a handheld that has good graphics.
The Music is exactly like the N64 version. The music is kind of repetitive but not enough to turn the sound off.
Overall SM64 for DS an awesome game. The new additions help keep it new but still original. If I were you I would definitely get this game! By: theONE
that was super mario now wario ware
If you are looking for a game that you can play for under 30 seconds or even up to 5 minutes at a time, Wario Ware: Touched! for Nintendo DS is the game for you. It has 180 minigames (but Nintendo refers to them as microgames), about 30 of them are using the microphone and the rest all use the touch screen. The buttons are not used at all! You never want to play this game in public though, if I saw some person blowing at a handheld and it screaming back "Go, go, Mike!" I would belly-laugh
There is only 1 set backs: there is no multiplayer!
The menu is great. It is very different from the GameCube version because of the option of a 'story-like' mode. It still has the album for going back to your favorite minigames and making high-scores. The 'toy box' is an excellent addition. You can earn souvenirs and play them just like the other minigames.
When I first started to play wario ware I was astounded by the detailed music. They use the multiple speakers to the fullest intent (my favorite song is Ashley's).
The graphics are great, even though the games are only on the screen for their 5 second debut.
Overall this is a must for the DS. It uses the DS's new abilities very nicely, and is addictive. By: theONE
