Splinter Cell Chaos Theory DS Review

I just got Splinter Cell tody, and I was amazed. This game is awesome. You do experiance some slowdown, but it is minimal. The sound is amazing. This game has some of the best sound I have heard for a DS game. The graphics are Amazing. I didn't think the DS was capable of these kind of graphics. The levels are large but not to spacious. The only gripe I have about this game is the levels are somtimes to dark. That alone isn't enough to make it a bad game. I love this game. It has entered my top 10 favorite games. I highly reccomend this game to everyone. I have never played a stealth game before. Now that I have played this game I will probably buy more stealth games.
This game does have Multiplayer(multi-card) but I obviously haven't had a chance to try it. The controls are a bit confusing but after awhile it becomes real easy.

Graphics: 9/10
Amazing Graphics! It would have been a 10, but the slowing frame rate and dark levels drops it one point.

Sound: 8.5/10
Fantastic sound! There are no voiceovers that I am aware of. The music is , I would say, Above average for a DS game right now.

Controls 7.5/10
The controls aren't that bad but it is a little confusing in the beginning.

Lasting Appeal: 7.5/10
I haven't played the multiplayer but I am sure it would add to the lasting appeal. The missions are fun and I will probably play them again just to get a higher score.

Overall: 8/10
This is a very good game. I reccomend it to everyone. I don't get how IGN could give this game a 6.

well i have a quick second opinion:

This game is great. The framerate has a little lag but not too much... you can do the same moves as you can in the console versions. The graphics are great for a DS game. I am extremly surprised that the DS can do as well as i did. The control are a little akward and take some getting use to, but after you do its so much fun. The levels are extremly long. I plyed the first level for hours and it was so much fun. There is one training mission, 8 single player, and 5 coop. I havent plyed any multipaer yet but i will before the end of the summer. The sound is really good and the enemys are pretty smart. I am highly pleased with my buy of Splinet Cell DS.

Over all a 8.5 and my favorite DS game yet. I suggest everyone to buy it. The proffesional reviews must either be playing another game or they are comparing the game to the console versions which is too high of expectations.

You don't say anything about the game it self. I mean, you sum up things like "great graphics!", "great sound!" and "stealth is fun!", but you actually inform me about the game, do you? Heck, I still don't know if it's 2D or 3D. You have a long way to go. Try reading more professional reviews. May I recommend Eurogamer.net? And for God's sake, don't rate in categories. I'm way too tired to say anything awfully constructive right now. Just read other reviews.

Wouldn't be as harsh, Baronen, but have to agree with him there.

The only thing is though, these reviews are not actually proper reviews, as such. There more for people who have read a bit about Splinter Cell DS, and want a couple of more opinions... I think anyway. I think it's safe to say theOne and Jim would have put a bit more effortr into a proper review on the main site!

Thanks guys - regardless of whether it's good or bad - I've got another couple of player opinions, and this game doesn't seem half as bad as IGN or Gamespot have made out.

I just feel that most of the prof. reviewers are biased. So, getting a nice clean short review from a fellow gamer is always good. Besides, these guys are kids, not professional writers so give them some slack. =/ Ever thought about writing a review, Baron? Just curious...
