Star Fox Command Review.
So here it is, the newest Star Fox game to hit the market. I'm not going to waste time with introductions because I want to get back to playing Animal Crossing.
Graphics Star Fox Command is really not trying hard enough with this. While I did enjoy the illusion of Andross's face in the beginning screen, Fox and his pals just look ten times uglier. Not to mention, every time I finished the game "story" (cue laughtrack) I am always reminded of that one stupid image joke using fox's and krystal's crying faces.. I'm not going to post it here because I dont want to ruin it for you as well. Do I have anything good to say? Well.. no, not really. 3/10. Gameplay This is also a very heavy weakness for the Star Fox series. While it does have the same zones as the very first star fox, which is for the SNES, it does not use any creativity when you're online fighting other players. Oh yea, that's what I REALLY loved about this game, and my voice is dripping with sarcasm right now. There are no words to express how frustrating online play is. I sold this game to some nasty old fart sitting behind a counter a week after I bought it. But I digress. The online play is much like Mario Kart DS.. except if someone doesn't like how you manage to kill them nine times in a row with the single laser, they will disconnect and you are forced to listen to that DISGUSTING BEEP BEEP BEEP noise as it drills you a new asshole right in your forehead. I swear to god, if you're looking for a great action game, look somewhere else. ![]() |

interesting, to say the least.
your criticism of the graphics are only on the characters and the character art... does that really even matter? i don't know about you, but i don't judge a game's graphics by its character art. although i do agree that they look worse, and that crying scene was retarded, you seem to have based teh graphics rating and stuff that doesn't really matter. in-game, the graphics are probably the best i've seen on the DS. i'd go with 9.5/10 or maybe a 10. since when has gameplay been a weakness for the star fox series? you realize people buy games because of good gameplay, right? and star fox has sold pretty dang well through the years. for online... what would you suggest they do then? is it somehow less creative than the other wi-fi games? me personally, i don't think so. although metroid got pretty creative, it was unbalanced and had far too many glitches, so i don't consider it any better. i agree that the whole disconnecting = game drop is annoying, but its nothing to sell the game over. im rank J right now and i've seen about... 5 disconnections. 5 out of the 75 games i've played? thats not too bad. metroid was a lot worse. you really need to try looking on the bright side of things, man. when all you can do is find something wrong with a game, you probably sell a lot.
