RE: Touchds.com Recruit Center

out of thouse two what do you prefer if you dont know much about them here is a quick sumery of each:

HD-DVD, (High Definition DVD), backed by a group led by Toshiba and NEC. The HD-DVD discs can hold up to 30GBs and are more like an upgrade of current DVD technology. there argument is that you will still be able to play your old dvd on the new players and production cost would be keept to a low as its very close to the current production of dvds and there for keep the cost down for the consumer too

Sony, Philips, Matsush ita (sorry that is one word but the site changes it to *poo* for some reason) and Samsung, who back the incompatible Blu-ray format. The Blu-ray discs can hold up to 50GBs and are based on blue/violet lasers. this method would be more expesive as it uses a new tecknolgy not a modifyed one but will be able to hold more date and would be costly at first for the consumer as the production line for this is very diffrent to current dvds.

personlay i would want HD-DVD to win as it can hole less but i would rather have 2 HD-DVD disks that have dater on that is cheeper then 1 blue-ray which would cost more and the player would not play normal dvds.

LOL! MatsuSHlTa! *ahem*

Right now, HD is going to with due it's inexpensive price. Blu-ray will become cheaper eventually and it'll be an even match.

But I chose BR just because PS3 uses it =P

RE: Blu-ray or HD-DVD?

Yeah, that's the bad part. But they'll eventually find some good use for the Blu-Ray.

HD for me. Hopefully cheaper disks means cheaper prices when buying movies. Mind you apparently divx can now put and entire hd movie onto a normal dvd with no noticable compression effects. id prefer that to all else.
