I dissagree with some of the points.
I'm really a casual gamer, my intrest in games is really the techincal aspect and I play realitivly rarly. (I'm on here, more often then I play anything)

I got the DS for the reason that's its great to pic up and play casualy. Not to mention I can play OLDER games from my child hood (I bought DKC before I even picked up my DS, and SM64DS was the first game I went and bought [madden, wario ware: touched, assphault came with it]).

The DS lends it's self to the casual gamer, cheap, large libary of games (many GBA games can be gotten used), and it's self contained. a GC, PS3, etc, need a TV set, and also a nice set of 5.1 speakers to get the most out of them.
The DS has virtaul surround sound built in and two screens. Your good to go off the bat, anywhere, anytime.

Plus, with the GBA Movie Player the DS gets alot of milage. (music, movies, and NES Games).

Exactly. And that is what Nintendo thought of when they were making the DS. It is made for the casual gamer. The same cannot be said for the PSP - namely the price of it.

The thing is,
you can't really say a Casual gamer would only play ______

People who aren't worried about money might not have a problem buying the PSP, because it is also a media player.

Some casuals might pick up a GBA, a GC, or even an N64/SNES/NES.

For me, I'm a working adult who would LOVE to play video games for hours on end, but with a 40hr a week job, night school, and work on cftv.ca / gamblingsafetysystem.com I'm lucky to do a quick session here or there.

I do think casuals prefer games that you can pick up and play. If you've only got 30 minutes to "have fun" you don't want to read through instructions for 25 of them.

Ok here's my definition list as of now...

Casual gamer: People that play games occasionally.
Worldly gamer: People that only play games and systems that get really good reviews from media and from what they see to be the majority of players.
Hardcore gamer: People that spend loads of time playing games and would spend lots of money (if they have it) for the latest and greatest.
Real gamer: If not just people that enjoy games, it's people that play or at least enjoy and respect games of a massive variety old and new across many genres and systems.

As you can probably see, these can usually be combined more or less, not put completely against each other.
