Naruto is based on the idea that there are many different kinds of ninja with many different types of Ninjitsu. Well, ninjitsu kind of defines ninja, so, what's the problem?

A TV show based completely around ninja counts, as well as one on pirates or lumberjacks. And if you don't, then you have to be 100% realistic which means it's physically impossible for lumberjacks to have thick enough skin to stop a shuriken. Realisticly, AND in fantasy, ninjas are ALWAYS better. And if you wanna get realistic, there is seriously nothing a pirate or lumberjack could do to even touch a ninja.

realistically, i'd be much more afraid of some 7 foot burly guy with a massive axe than a little dude in a black cotton jumpsuit with a knife

but you can SEE the big dude. You can RUN AWAY from the bid dude. The ninja can strike from anywhere at anytime, and there may be traps set up where you decide to run. They are tactical and plan ahead. The big guy has a dinosaur brain to match his dinosaur body...

A black belt in karate, well below a Ninja's skillz, could easily kick a 7 foot burly axeman's ass...

I see nothing unrealistic. My past sensei's could kick any lumberjacks ass, realistically speaking. Because realistically speaking, they are just strong men with no real fighting experience, other than with wood. At most, both them and pirates are good with a gun. But a ninja kills steathily, and you can't shoot what you can't see.

In hand-to-hand combat, karate > physical strength. That's why I can kick all of your asses...

Lumberjacks have waaaaay more experience with combat than with wood. they gotta drive off the opposing lumberjacks and all the ca-razy wild jaguars and such. =D

little did you know, but there is quite a rift between the lumberjacks. there's a war going on.

besides, all they have to do is cut down a tree and have it fall on the unknowing ninja. they could rig all teh trees in teh forest to just fall on the poor fewls

A lumberjack would get one slow lumbering swing in if it was a straight fight. If the ninja was hiding, he wouldn't even get that.

psh if hes "hiding in said trees" then hes screwed, you don't think lumberjacks know trees like the back of their hand?!?

besides the fact that lumberjacks are strategical geniuses. all that tree-falling organizing makes you teh smartness. ninjas just run around like pansies
