The DS's graphics certainly look more detailed and sharper. And, if I'm not mistaken, most of the DS games look like they have a higher poly count than their N64 counterparts.

RE: Nintendo DS vs. Nintendo 64

Ok, here's why you can't quite compare them accurately. The DS is technically quite stronger, BUT there's one thing that gives the 64 a jump on it up when you get up close. Something called Texture Filtering. It makes the textures much better. That's why it's possible that something would look better overall on the DS, but up close on the textures you might think the 64 looks better, and it probably does like that.

RE: Black 360?

Ok let me get this out, I think all comparisons should be as identical as possible, not completely different locations/views as with all of those (maybe except Rayman).

N64 has a higher resolution, but DS is sharper, this is because RCA connections and TVs back in the day (and still many today) are naturally blurry and not accurate to the pixel.
N64 has the texture filtering, but I think the DS has improved higher resolution textures which makes up for it, at least for most of the stuff.
Clearly a higher polygon count for DS and improved models.
Colors look more natural on DS, especially for SM64, although that depends almost entirely on the game and not the system.

Overall, I think the DS has better graphics, especially when it comes to that natural look.

You'll either need to find a site that already compares them side-by-side or you'll need to get them yourself.
