Hitting somebody in the head with a toilet != running over a hooker you just screwed.

There's a difference between violence as a tool to enhance gameplay and completely senseless violence.

Yeah, there's a rather fine line between good violence (like the toilet example namster said), and just over-the-top gorefests. Chainsawing zombies is just fun, but going after simulated people with the same in a massively populated environment kinda creeps me out.

The violence in Half-Life is nothing compared to what I consider real violence. For the most part I think of violence in games as a simulation that emulates real life of cruel ways to kill or badly hurt people, killing zombies/aliens or a typical war zone situation don't really seem that violent because you can't really do it in real life unless maybe you join the army and by chance you come across some heavy action.

Ugh... I'd hate to play a life-like graphics GTA4.
