Poker is a sport because its on ESPN! j/k

Not everything on ESPN is a sport.

Sports involve "physical" activity while poker doesn't, as it is simply a "phychological" game. But personally, I don't really care what anyone calls it >.>

sport (spôrt, sprt) n.

1 a Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively.

b A particular form of this activity.

2 An activity involving physical exertion and skill that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often undertaken competitively.

3 An active pastime; recreation.

So yes, poker could be considered a sport under the third definition

I dont consider it a sport, more of a party game. Although some way too technical people class anything of a competitive nature as a sport, which utter crap because me competing with someone to get the last table AT THE BEST DAMN ITALIAN RESTRUANT THIS SIDE OF LONDON ON NEW YEARS SODDING EVE is not a sport (just a story of my night).
