Snaking and Piracy

Snaking is cheating because it's built in to the game, plain and simple. Cheating implys something that's illegal or unfair. Snaking is fair because anybody can do it if you've got the skillz...

Wait, so are you pro-snaking or against it, because you say snaking is cheating but then that its fair. Typo maybe?

Cheat codes are programmed into the game too, and anybody can do it if they got the skillz of knowing what they are and how to use them. Same goes with hacking into files and such, and the game is programmed to read the files a certain way that makes hacking them possible, anyone can do it if they have the hacking skillz. Skillz0rz can also imply earning money to go out and buy hacking hardware and using it. It's all a conspiracy.

Once again, I adress the issue that it was in the game in the same way I always have. Cheat codes are built in, and they're cheating. But this is even more insidious, because this wasn't INTENTIONALLY put into the game.

The cheat code was unintentionally programmed into the game, being a simple timed left right left right rinse and repeat method. They programmed the left right left right part of it but not the repeating over and over part.

Cheat codes yes are programmed into games, but they are never enabled for multiplayer. Snaking is a built-in ability that all players can use equally if they have the skill. It's kind of cheap but it's not cheating. Saying it's cheating is nothing more than an excuse...and again, I can't snake. But that's my own fault, no one elses...

No, because using a glitch to gain pretty much invincibility is far different from using timed reactions to gain a little boost of speed. It takes no skill to do many of the MPH glitches, it only took me 1 or 2 tries to get them to work. Snaking on the other hand isn't a glitch, it's merely the result of well timed movements.

I admit, snaking can take a bit of fun out of Mario Kart, so I can understand why it upsets people. I wish everyone could just agree not to do it, but it's not going to happen. In the end, you can either learn to snake yourself or deal with it. It's cheap, yeah. But calling it cheating is just a form of whining from those who can't do it. In all reality, it's immature.

If you wanna see what cheap is, go to a Super Smash Bros. tournament. Every way to win used in high-level tourneys is cheap. If you wanna compete on that level, your HAVE to learn and use the cheapest tactics available. That's just how it is. You either deal with it or don't play.

Yeah, snaking gives you a "little boost of speed" just like SRB does, and like wall glitching gives you a "little bit of added defence."
