LOL!
*parents turn on sound 'WACK WACK WACK WACK...Oh god, this is so hard!' -- "What the heck?" * turn on video stream =O "Timmy, didn't I tell you not to play Ping Pong in the your room?" Anyways, I know you were joking (I hope) but to watch over your every kid's move is freaky. How do they would they expect the kid to grow up naturally without the fear of others watching him. He'll probably become a loner and live in his mum's basement eatting Nachos. Actually, that doesn't sound like a bad life at all. MMM...Nachos.....

I think it's more like bad kids are attracted to games like GTA, not GTA attracts kids to bad things. There's a reason that insane kid was playing GTA before he commited suicide, and it's not because it caused it.
I did a report on violence in video games once... One of the most interesting things I ran across in the research for it was this experiment: There were two groups of college students. One played Wolfenstein 3d (An example of a violent game) and the other was told to play mist (nonviolent) for thirty minutes. At the end of this period, they were sat down in front of a small game and told that they had controlls that they could use to blast the opponent with sound and control the duration and volume when they won. The ones that had played wolfenstein did in fact blast louder and longer each time. Other notable effects were that they blasted much longer after they had been blasted themselves, and my favorite, overall females blasted opponents longer and louder each time. (hehe) |
