Weekly debate 3#: Are games really to blame?

you cant really justify that bad kids are attracted to GTA. thats just labeling a bunch of people. i play GTA but ive yet to commit a crime or seriously hurt someone.

so? are those the only things bad kids do?

it is true though, it does attract way more "bad" kids then most other games

Indeed it is.

But, my little step brother played it and spent hours killing people (on the game, thank god) and my step mum had a huge go at him, told him to get off and to never play it again. I argued, why did you let him play it in the first place when it is labelled 18? She then argued back by saying that most games that are rated 18 don't allow the stuff that you can do on GTA.

all this talk has urged me to carry on with my san andreas game.

Offtopic but pretty interesting.... I remember reading on the news that a man was about to go on a killing spree killing random peepholes. He had tons of ammunition and guns in his trunk. Right before he was about to start, a dog walked up to him and started playing with him. He thought that if the dogs are friendly then the people would be as well. He then later turned himself into the police.

What's more freaky was that he lived near my area =O

To clear this up, I'm not saying that all kids that buy GTA are evil or anything, just that if you are insane like that, you are much more likely to buy GTA than most.
