Weekly Debate: Is Revolution Control Innovative or Crazy?

Well, Nintendo has been talking about how the controller will innovate the market. Now is a remote looking device gonna be more innovative? I think not. It looks harder to use than a regular controller. Most likely scaring away more of the "casual" gamers. Now you may disagree with me, but please DEBATE this subject.

A little of both, but mostly innovative. Case closed.

It's definitely innovative, the only thing crazy is that they're taking big risks to make good innovative stuff and to keep their customers happy. The best way to get others to realize how fun it is is to let them play it, either at someones house or at a store demo, otherwise yeah, it'll be really hard to get those worldly gamers interested.

It doesn't really matter who starts teh topic, but yeah...

The Revolution controller is a little crazy; but guys, answer this, just why do we love Nintendo? The answer? They create fun games for us, sometimes a little bit on the stupid side (as in crazy, but I don't want to say it!) and well in a word, crazy sums up Nintendo. It is however innovative.

Whether or not it will suceed in pulling in casual gamers is a completely different question - my opinion is that no, it most certainly won't pull them in.

I don't much like the topic. It's a bit of a no-brainer, not to mention the argument really... well the topic just really isn't worthy of debate.

This debate has officially FLOPPED.

I mean, you aren't going to get much opposition at all, except from Lkr himself. Not much of a debate...

That's where I step in...

Nintendo are doing something extrememly risky. I think they are being innovative but I also think theres a limit to how far you can go. I hope they pull it off but I bet the novelty will dissapear in a few months after launch.

And obviously that's completely different from what we all said. People said the same about the DS, and now it's a normal integrated feature in games...
