Advance Replacement Nintendo DS

I'm sure it's differences in manufacture. I have a hunch that NU100 was the first batch to be made, but of course some were defective, so they were remanufactured and shipped out as replacement units.

The Nintendo DS scripts are different believe me. The photo was just a bit fuzzy is all.

hahahaha i haven't heard the word "hunch" since i read all the hardy boy's books in 5th grade

I've heard of this the NU4 are the new batch of DS and people where saying Nintendo made them like that. The digitizer dots are just the touch screen things so that they work, it would be nice to have one where they aren't seen. Can we get pics of the screen? Compared to original.

my serial is nu401 and i got it on launch day

Oh, and i would like to see pics of the screens also... if there is a big difference on the clarity, then i just might consider getting a new DS

Yes that is what I was thinking, if the screen actually looked better, I would try getting one like that. Although I have seen lots of different touch screens on other things(pdas,werid sony tv thing etc.) and they all show the touch screen sensors. Also you may of gotten your DS on launch day but the NU1 things were only sent out as the initial batch. Like all the people who got them early should of gotten them. I am not sure if stores got them. I also got mine on launch and it was NU4. Althogh my DS is exactly like the new one he got except for the screen.

I just realised something. Some of those things you said were different from your original one are the little differences from the Japan and US ones. The sticker, the deeper DS thing, the different looking DS symbol under the touch screen. But the only thing I don't get is why your screen got the thing that doesn't show the touch sensors. I really want to see the difference because if its a big difference then I really want to get a new one.

Nice photos and interesting stories. Yes, Nintendo opened up 2 new factories and different materials might of been sent to each one.

have you guys registered yours at nintendo.com? i think you could find answers there. i don't know though, im just throwing out ideas.

I can't register as mine is a JAP DS but im sure other people could..lucky americans
