Disney Friends DS Lite - Can't get past tutorial

Hi guys, this is my first post, so please be gentle.

We bought a ds for Christmas for my little girl with disney friends, and we can't get past the alien on the tutorial, which in turn will not open up the rest of the game.

The problem seems to be a lack of a gift (marble), which it asks you to do, but this is missing from the gift list which is empty. Do we have to stroke the little thing for a minimum of 6 hours plus before it will give us a marble as a gift, we have tried alsorts but to no avail. Our little girl is a little dishartened.

We have contacted Nintendo support, who were as helpful as a chocolate fireguard, and at a national call rate for 20 minutes, was a little "frustrating".

If there is anyone out there (on this planet if possible), who may have come across this game and indeed played it, we would be so grateful for some help.

agreed, disney games lack sensibility and excitement. getting a nintendo based game like nintendogs, a personal favorite, or mario kart is a better idea.

Well I think the first mistake there is that you called Nintendo for help with a Disney game(and actually expected some sort of help from their technical support phone monkeys >.<)... If anything, you should be calling the studio that developed it.

And wraith, gamefaqs is only good for games that people actually play. You know that Disney Friends is obviously just a gimmick game produced because parents will buy anything with "Disney" on it. So obviously, real gamers, like the ones who frequent gamefaqs, wouldn't buy the game nor would they spend time writing a FAQ for it.

I've searched a few places for you in hopes that they'd have at least something to go on, but at this point in time I haven't found a single Disney Friends walkthrough.
