Yes i tried the official one and i also used a UK SP charger bought from GAME ( EB in the US ) and it worked wonderfully. It turns out that people telling me the battery was 5.5v were just being silly or they were too lazy to actually remember the right voltage. If anyone is still paranoid i will post a picture of the charger charging my DS.

So this means, me buying a step down converter to go with my US DS was a complete and utter waste? Oh well better safe than sorry i spose it was only 8$
