I doubt you could from the DS Browser, but I don't know for sure. Any viruses would of course need to be designed specifically for the DS, and since vulnerable DS software isn't nearly as popular as say, Windows, the risk is probably far less than Mac or even Linux.
As for the flash card (homebrew) stuff, there are firmware flashing programs and some of them can be brickers, which are essentially a trojan horse viruses. As with anything, just don't run anything that you didn't get from a trusted source and you should be safe. If you aren't sure, check reviews before downloading and running something. |

It stores a cache in memory and if it wasn't downloading anything you wouldn't even see web pages. You can't really do anything such as executable files with the DS Browser, but you never really know when someone might find a way to get something in the memory to touch the firmware in a bad way.
