Dan.. while you were what? Jumping? -__-

Hmm I haven't dropped my DS into water just yet and I don't plan on doing so but I have dropped my Tamagochi in to a already used ... toilet.

most electronic devices (all of them really) can survive water if the Li in the battery hasnt mixed with the water ( most the time you have to take them apart and let them dry for a while)

I did the same to a Gigapet way back when they were popular, but the toilet wasn't used when it happened. I didn't dry it off and it still worked, only a single vertical line of pixels stopped working until a couple months later when I finally took the battery out and put it back. Maybe it being a tadpole/frog had something to do with it surviving.

It's getting to the point where anything can happen to a Nintendo product and I wouldn't be surprised that it survives, I've mostly been hearing about their products surviving (I mean working, not necessarily no visible damage since that's almost always the case with anything that takes a big hit) through an accident.

Most nintendo products are hard to kill. The old super nintendo's, ive seen some take more punishment than imaginable and still able to play a game of cricket. Myself I've only ever dropped my GBC while riding my bike, the back peg smacked the screen. Left a bad gouge in it but no damage at all to the system. well the battery cover snapped as well but nothing duct tape doesnt fix...

I got my hands on a sample PSP. They feel as if the plastic case is paper-thin. I swear I could have crushed it with my hands. On the other hand, the DS is very solid and would probably last a few decades.
