Wait, I thought they were the same? Well, regardless, the NEW sp screens (what was it, a month ago?) are much brighter.

Slightly higher screen resolution, and definitely better quality over the original SP and Advance (i.e, true backlighting). However, as ShadowMarth noted, the new GBA SP's have a considerably brighter screen over the original GBA & SP, and brighter than the DS screen.

i would the micro doesnt have the protection the clam shell provides, and the micros screen is a bit too small for some people, can give eye strain over extended play.

I'd go for the SP for sure. The clamshell protects the screen and looks cool. There's something about the micro's style that annoys me.

When my first DS broke, I had to make do with my old GBA. Now that Im back to the DS, my eyes feel so much better. To see the screen on that old thing, you would need something akin to a portable sun for goodness' sakes.
