DS Lite Discussion Thread

Was it the original GBA or SP? I can see more of a problem if it's sticking out the bottom (as with SP) than the top (as with GBA). I never had a problem with GB games in my GBA, it's just that GBA games were more interesting so I played them more than the older games.

yeah a should hav said its a GBA sp sozs lol bt its stil rely anoying so im glad that the ds fits the gba games well unlike the ds lite

snakers should so not get the ds lite. it is much harder to snake with it

Carts sticking out never bothered me. The only thing that bothered me is GB/GBC games don't work in the DS. I thought about buying a Lite, but it is thinner than a DS and it just seemed that it would be harder to hold for me... especially for games like MPH that use the touch screen for movement.

Not to sidetrack this thread or anything, but do the GBA games stick out in the GB Micro?

the DS lite is awesome.
Snaking is a breeze, the joystickish feel to the dpad makes it perfect for MPH and the smaller size is great for the pocket.

there is however one problem, when i play MKDS the stylus digs into my middle finger, i have a huge bruise on the side now.

and no the carts dont stick out of the micro.

Thanks for the info Mike Hawk. I might get a Lite then, but if I did I would try to find someone that had one or a store display to get a feel for it first.

definetely get a feel for it first, if you have hands bigger than mine then you might not like it, but yesterday i touched a DS phat again and let me tell you it felt like i was touching a Gen 1 Gameboy right after i got done with the GB Pocket.

the carts stick out on the DS Lite is the only bad thing. i just leave the dust protector in.

Since I mostly (currently only, cept for that one game of MPH online) use my DS for GBA games, carts sticking out would be a small problem for me. Not so bad as GB games in a SP (or GameShark/AR/CB ;) ), but it would still be a problem. I just wish there was a dust cover for the DS slot.
