DS screen and more

Hello,

I was very fortunate to receive a DS for Christmas and right out of the gate got pwned in mario kart. Still had a blast playing. Knowing that you're playing somebody else is so much more fun than playing against CPU. Anyway, I just had a couple questions. I tried searching through the forums and could not answers to my questions.

1.) Is the touch screen a bit Darker than the top screen? Or is this just mine. It seems to be just a bit darker and you can see the pixels just a little easier.

2.) I have one dead pixel on the top screen. Normally this would be no big deal, but I tend to zero in on stuff like that. Will Nintendo fix it under warranty even though its one dead pixel? If they would, how is their turn around time?...Of course I plan on emailing them about it, but just was curious as to what kind of dealings you have had with them.

3.) I had a bit of a trouble getting my DS to sync up to the nintendo usb dongle, but found a fix to my problems. But is it unusual for it to take a long time to find an opponent? I did a worldwide search and it kept hunting for over 10 minutes and I did have the max signal strength.

Thanks in advance, and nice forums you people have here.

welcome to the TDS forums.

1. depends on what game you're playing, i think. but it could be, i don't really notice those things.

2. yea they'll hand you a new one under the warranty, and it gets back pretty quick... like 3-10 business days.

3. yea that happens, but luckily its not that often.

1. It's possibe it's an illusion caused by the differing angles, but if you're sure, it isn't quite normal.

2. Nintendo's customer service is a lot better than most. They'll fix you up fine.

3. Oh... well... I'm not online yet, so I can't answer that one.

They probably dont have to worry too much because of their 5 million DS's sold and whatnot.

Sweet. I thought they'd just replace the defective LCD screen.
