DS Startup sound gone strange

Has this happened to anyone else?

I got myself a new DS, I sold my old one to my friend, and shortly after his one started sounding tinny when the start up sound starts.

Now my new DS has developed a problem and it's only just over 2 weeks old now. It sounds even worse than my friends, it's not really noticable when playing a game. But this is still a brand new DS and the sound has already developed problems.

This is really bugging me.

Has anyone else heard about problems like this or had this problem?

My DS had that problem for a few days, then it went away. I'm not sure if this is the case for you, but it may just self-repair. Sounds silly, yes, but you never know.

That's odd. I think that I'll take it back to the shop anyway as it is so new. Not like me to turn down the chance of replacing a new DS with an even newer one. :p

Oh that sucks. So DSLinux won't run on the new ones? Well too late now anyway.

I really don't care, I have my desktop and laptop for using real software, the DS is just for some entertainment, which I really need, I do relax often enough.

Check your birth-date. By any chance, is it today? Just another one of the many secrets Ninty didn't reveal about the DS.

ive gotten a few weird sounds from the speakers aswel. sometimes (rarely) when i start the DS it seems like the speakers are outta sinq or something. each sound is played twice in quick sucession. i forst noticed it while playing mario 64. i origonally thought it was an echo for the basement or something but then it appeared elsewhere in the game. so i thought it was a bug in the game but it happens in the menu when it does happen. usually a restart or 2 fixes it for me. On another nte i think the DS firmware needs updating but thats just me :P.

I also have some sound issues with mine, but not so much that I'm annoyed. I've had both the L/R sync problem and the low quality at low volume, as well as my cell phone interfering with the speakers when within about a foot. Other than that I can't think of any other sound bugs.
