I am getting used DS's from friends of theirs that are upgrading to lites, but I figure this is a good start for them. I don't think you can get DS's here in the US unless they are used. Right now the lites are hard to find cuz stores are out of them. The white ones are easier to find than the black or pink. My friend is looking for a black one for her son.
I didn't realize that the 4 swords Zelda was a remake of the original Zelda for SNES, I wonder if I will remember anything from it cuz that is the one I played years ago. I understand what you mean on the multiplayer, it is but only if the other player has his own copy too. They usually don't like playing Lego Star Wars two player cuz they are not good at wanting to go the same way, LOL. They are brothers so they fight about everything and can never agree. They only racing game they have ever tried is Mario Kart and they enjoy that one. They are getting that for the gamecube. I think I have someone buying animal crossing for the gamecube. I looked at it in the store and it looks cute. I am glad to hear that my little one will enjoy that one. I was hoping it would be a good one for him to walk walk around with. Also I think he will enjoy changing the hats and such! Great info everyone!!! Last edited by MOM76; 12-12-2006 at 01:05 PM. |

If I was you I wouldnt get Animal Crossing on the Cube...
reason: Its harder You cant change the chachters hats. and there is no multiplayer capabilities and there isnt an indepth code (compared to Wild World) So you should get the one on the DS... And also: Yes you need to games to play multiplayer, and don't worry about youre boys fighting because 1 player can mover in one dirrection whilsts the other moves in anothet dirrection, but there is alot of stratigic team work, so they might fight over who gets to throw who, over to the other side of the bridge and press the switch so you can move to the next area... Also you should get Mario Kart for the DS because The 1 on the Cube will get them fighting because there is a Co-Op feature (1 person drives and another throws items) and if someone does something the other doesnt like....WW3 at home....

Wait a second. There is one thing you probably need to know about the DS. You can't play GBA games multiplayer on it, because there is no connection for the link cable. For that you would need GBAs.
And Animal Crossing on the Cube is a good buy, ignore Wraith. Particularly because you can unlock loads of classic NES games through that. |

I know that the DS has a wirless link feature, but I assuming that with GBA games you can't link that way to play two player...I am not too worried since I only have the one copy of Zelda (4 swords)...
I just might have to get both the cube and DS version of animal crossing cuz it does look like a cute and fun game. I know that a friend of theirs has the Mario Kart DS and they didn't like it as much as the nintendo 64 version, but I am not sure why...For now they will have it on the cube, but I hope I don;t get WW3 at home. There are so many other great games out there I want to get before I get that on DS. Oh no, now you are talking about unlocking codes...I have no idea what that is or even how you would go about doing that... Oh yeah..Another question...I have heard that you can use some cable to attach a game boy to the game cube...can you attach the DS to the game cube too? PS my friend found a black DS lite for her son...yeah!!! |

I am not saying to forget about buying it entirely, I'm just saying to consider getting the DS version because there is more to do. And also for the 3 year old it would be hard for him to navigate through it because of the screen layout and such.... Also: No you can't connect the DS to the Cube (but you can to the Wii) and about unlocking codes: Its a simple task u just go on the net and look for 'cheats' and then you go to the shop in the game and then you choose the option for the code input, and when u finish entering the code something MAGICAL happens!!! And by the way: Can ur 3 year old read? because he wont realy get anything out of Animal Crossing if he can't read.... and if you already told us that I am sorry for realying you with the same Q...

you can't hook up DS to Gamecube. You can hook up DS to Wii however. Mario Kart on Gamecube is a horrible game, get them Mario Kart DS. Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart 64 are easily the best the series gets, with 64 being better(mainly memories). Animal Crossing DS is much better than the Gamecube version as well. By the way, check out Wario Ware: Touched, it is a fun quirky mini-game type game. It is really fun to just sit down and play. Brain Age/Big Brain Academy are also fun and a good puzzle game for your mind.

I want to again say thanx for all the suggestions...My boys are loving their DS's!
They love Yoshi's Island, Bomberman Land and Zelda (both Link from the Past and Minish Cap)!!! They also love their Nintendogs!!! I also bought one of the GBA videos and now I need to get another one cuz they both like it. |
