Missing out on a lot of childhood. Pokemon was part of almost everyone years ago. Everyone liked it and still like it but don't play the game. Usually things like that are with you the rest of your life.

I highly doubt your grandchildren would play Pokemon, heck it's even questionable if you'd get that far. A fad usually doesn't last 50+ years anyway, I can already see the Pokemon fad fading away, its peak was around 2000.

People said the Pokemon 'fad' was dying in 2001. Its 2007. Pokemon Diamond is officially the fastest selling DS game of all time in Japan. Its also in the top 10 fastest selling Japanesse games of all time.

As long as Nintendo keep making good Pokemon games it wont die out.
