Question I think something could be wrong with my DS...

The touchscreen feels bumpy and scratchy when I move the stylus across it when I play Animal Crossing: Wild World (which I have started to use the stylus almost exclusively to).

Is this normal? If not, then is there any known method to remedy this or no?

I had that same problem
These are the steps I took that made it smooth again:
1: Lick the touch screen with saliva (didnt work)
2: Reapeat step 1
3: Repeat step 1
4: Ignore (didnt work)
5:Repeat step 1
6: Get a soft, wet towl/washcloth and dab onto touch screen (that worked.

You can get water onto the touchscreen and not damage it? I didn't know that...

It depends. If the water contains too much hydrogen and oxygen, it can cause your screen to rust.

My first DS felt scratchy when I held the stylus at a low angle. I haven't noticed it with my new one though, maybe because I've developed the habit of holding at a higher angle.

How would I know if the water had too much of hydrogen and oxygen?

It's really hard to tell unless you have a hydrolosis machine - which induces electricity, seperating the hydrogen and oxygen bonds. But if you're desperate, used-water from the toilet bowl often contains low amounts of hydrogen making it safer to clean your touchpad with. I hope that helps.

Haha, hes joking with you man.
A damp cloth is good. Just wet some tissue and clean the touch screen with it. Just make sure the DS is off, and you dont press down too hard when cleaning.
