Euan is on a distinguished road
Found a good website which is offering a Japanese DS for £98 and have a question to ask.

I don't own a Game boy SP and most message boards I have posted at claim this is the only "cheap" way I can play an imported DS, when it's hardly cheap to buy two systems at the same time.

Does anyone know what I need. It's 110v, so the only thing I need is a Step-down converter... right?

Thanks for the help,

Euan

Thanks mate :)

I don't really understand much either, all this electronical jibberish is really confusing my brain (that of other forums). On Nintendo Europe, one man claimed that you CANNOT use a step-down converter.

Well, I use a step down converter for my DS and i got mine from www.lik-sang.com, and as many other people in this forum may know, liksang is my favorite. But, YES a stepdown converter will work. PM me if you need any help finding one!

Right, that's one good word for Lik-Sang.

Basically I should order my DS within the next week. It's between Play-asia and Lik-Sang basically and they have similar pricing. My main concern is that altough Play-Asia has the DS ready for dispatch within a day that they will charge more money for it. I will have to wait a week for Lik-sang to deliver it, then probably another waiting.

Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with either of the companies and what's the shipping/import tax like?

Well, lik-sang is a guarantee for decent shipping but yes, you will have to wait. What would you prefer to do wait a little longer or Dish out more money. Obvious really unless your extremely desperate!

I have dealt with lik-sang before, and I must say they are very reliable... the waiting will be hell though... i know it was for me :)
