i no it holds one gigabit of information....but does the ds cart hold more than the nitendo 64 cart?

Yes, it holds A LOT more than a N64 cart by far.

DS Holds 1GB of information
N64, the largest one made was 512mb I believe - Conkers Bad Fur day.
