RE: Sleep mode

Yes, it seems it isn't normal to have that crystalize texture on the touch screen even though it has a extra layer of screen protection. On the other DS's they have an extra coated screen protecter and it doesn't have that crystalize texture. My nephews also got each of thier own and one out of four of them as well got that "crystalize" touch screen.

RE: iTunes

I got a lime green one on the center of my top screen. I can blame some of my loses on ridge racer due to that pixel

IMO, the best game to test for dead pixels is in fact, Ridge Racer. Mario 64 isn't good because it is very graphical, even on the menus. My first DS had that crystalish problem also. Didn't help much in Metroid :(. My new one is smooth though! Seems like that first shipment of DS's was faulty.

Re: RE: game videos?

I am still on a quest for the perfect DS. I bought one on launch day and it had a dead pixel. I exchanged it and it had a dead pixel too. The store now ran out of stock and so I returned it and bought a new one at a different store. This one didn't have a dead pixel but its touch screen was already scratched when I took it out and now I got one that was really really close to perfect except for one freaking thing. The stupid hinges are loose. Now I am trying to decide if I sould exchange it again or just keep it.
Edit: I have decide to trade in my DS because its less perfect than I thought, it has another dead pixel.

Yeah, my DS's hinge is a bit loose, but that may be because my sister threw it....
