Got a DS for Christmas, only to find out during Ridge Racer that there's a dead pixel. In the lower screen, bright blue. So, I go to Walmart, exchange it for a new one, and take it home. Guess what???? Surprise! Dead pixel. Center of the top screen, dark blue. So I go there to get my money back, fed up with Wally's World. I go to Electronics Boutique in the mall. Not expecting them to have any in stock, but they did. I got one, and no dead pixels. Woohoo! This is posted just to let you guys know, you don't have to send your DS into Nintendo to get rid of the dead pixels.

RE: Re: RE: Wat do you think is the best starter game

That was real unlucky.

I imported one over from US and its got no dead pixels. Only problem is the plastic near DS cart slot is a bit loose and if you press it in, it squeaks. Feels a bit brittle and unsturdy, but never mind.

I love it .

RE: My Quest To find the Perfect DS

My DS has no dead pixels! Hooray!! I doubled checked it and everything. I played SM64DS Asphalt Urban GT, The Metroid Demo, and Pictochat, and I have yet to find a dead pixel! Hooray!

I have one (I think), but i comes and goes, it has it's own life!
But i don't really notice it unless I'm playing wanted.
It's bright green, and i can only see it when the backround is dark.
And Super Mario 64 DS is a bright game, exept wanted :P

So i don't really mind it :D

I bought five DS's and each one of them were in perfect condition with no dead pixels. The only downfall on one of them was that the bottom touch screen had a crystalize texture to it, which was a bit annoying, but that's about it.

Crystalize texture? I believe i have this on mine. Are you saying that it's not normal, or that some DS' come without it?
