Try going for 2GB on eBay, there's a ton of them on auction at 1 cent with $10 shipping.
If you don't want to go with eBay you can get 2GB from Newegg for about $25
or 1GB for about $13 after shipping.

I use a Supercard DS ONE, its very nice, and Ive been able to run DPG movie files, and its a Slot 1 solution! But...the only con is that it cannot run GBA games, and thats pretty much it...lawl. I really like it because it is Moonshell-based! =D BUY IT NOW.

Yup, just the R4 and the microSD is all you need to get started.

Here is where being an ultra, master n00b kicks in. I don't see any microSD slots on my computer or my DS. How's that gonna work out? I'm not just trying to play the naive card here. I'm dead seriously stupid about this question.

The microSD goes into the R4DS card and the R4DS comes with a USB adapter for the microSD to connect to your PC.
