Passcard 3 question.

Im planing to buy a M3 miniSD with a passkey 2. BUT, today i ran across Passcard 3.

Can i buy a M3, and just a passcard 3? Or do i need a passkey 2 to "flash?" my ds.

I thought it looked as if the passcard 3 eliminated the passme 2. Im not sure though.

Im not even 100% sure what flashed means.

I've got a fatty ds. Its the red one that came with the mario kart bundle.

I know the passcard 3 will work with it. I was just wondering if i needed a passkey 2 also.

It wouldn't make sense if you needed both since you obviously can't fit both on the DS. >_>;; But anyways, yes, the mini PC3 - the sequel of PC2 =O - is capable with M3.

And PC3 apparently works with ALL DSs so you don't to worry =)

Where are you buying from?

According to the USD prices at Divineo.com:
M3 Adapter Mini SD w/ PassKey 2 = $91.99
M3 Adapter Mini SD *standalone* + Passcard = $79.99 + $24.99 = $104.98

You'd save over $10 if you just go with the PK2 bundle.
Also unless you already have Mini SD cards you plan to use, I'd suggest going with CF. CF cards give more storage for the money, Newegg sells 1GB for under $20.

Yeah i like how the M3 mini sd cards look. You cant even see it and i didnt want a big passkey unit on the back of my ds. But someone told me i had to "flash" my ds with passkey 2, and then i'd be able to use a passcard 3. or somthin weird...

But im glad to know that the passcard 3 is like the same thing as the passkey2. Except it doesnt stick out!

I've got tons of ds games on my computer. I cant wait to see them actually work okay on my ds.

i have another question, if you know.

To host games on your ds with your M3, your friend's ds needs to be flashed. Instead of learning how and trying to flash the ds, can you just buy your friend a passcard? Will that work? or does his ds HAVE to be flashed?

No, your friend's DS doesnt have to be flashed from what I've been told.
