It wouldn't make sense to have that option during gameplay in games like Metroid, but it would be nice for between rounds. If they do anything for communication during action/FPS games, chances are it'll be voice chat, probably first appearing in March.

PictoChat is there if you want to use it. If you don't like it and it doesn't fit into your lifestyle then forget about it. Nintendo already blessed us with embedding it into the system.

When wi-fi is properly enabled to the DS (next year) then who knows, PictoChat might be online but that is discussed elsewhere on these forums.

Basically PictoChat is a waste of time but only to those who have no need of it. What about the hard of hearing? Disabled? Dumb? And what about those slumber/sleep parties/overs where mom says keep the noise down?

PictoChat may not appeal to people of the older generation but for me, drawing pictures and chatting wirelessly from one side of my house to another really does, do it for me.

i agree with chuddy, my friends mum doesnt let us (me and friend at sleepover) talk ...so we just pictochat and drew pictures...it seemed fun at the time
