I am thinking about getting a DS but when i read the stuff about the PSP it looked really cool, then some of the sites i went to like 1up said basicly that the PSP had huge lines and every1 wanted one but when the DS came out no1 bought any? So please tell me the truth and opinions from non fanboys would be great!

well, 1up.com is biased like crazy. and anyway, the DS is sold out nearly everywhere. sure the PSP is cool, but the DS is a lot better, unless you don't like video games. then you can go for the PSP, cause all its got is music and movies. (and a lot of problems)

If you have the time and the fast internet connection then..
yeah... there is a big problem in the cube because it has no online play... but at east it has funner games for all the family =)

To be honest I wouldn't worry. Developers have already stated that they favour the DS over the PSP and there are 100+ titles in dev already.
The DS has all the GBA's developers behind it (except Rare At The Mo) and we'll see plenty of 3rd part support. I'm not sure about the PSP but it's going to be a closely fought battle of the handhelds. That rubbish about "basicly that the PSP had huge lines and every1 wanted one but when the DS came out no1 bought any" is laughable. The DS has sold over 1,500,000 now and aim to sell 4mil by march 05. The PSP sold out.. but they only had 200,000 available at launch. You do the math..... I like both.. can you afford both? If not then choose wisely my friend....

It's funny how they compare the actual units sold to each other. They only shipped 200,000 PSP units, so naturally it would sell out faster. But they shipped 500,000 DS units and I'm pretty sure most of those sold out. You can't really compare te two because of the numerical differences. Icedsoil, about your other question. I haven't received my EGM January yet. It's odd because they usually send it out by now. Oh well, hope you get your DS!
