RE: Banned List

Apparently, Microsoft spent $250 million on a team of DS producers. Hehe, eat that. If only they'd made this decision early enough to save goldeneye....

Mmmmeh. I don't know... I think Rare has expired. They've delivered nothing but crap so far. Perfect Dark Zero is their last chance.

RE: Re: RE: How do you say... (part1)

I agree, I haven't really played Rare games before, but it seems their last few ventures have been ultimately disappointing - or perhaps under-rated because of the hype the games get.

Hopefully though they can produce a couple of decent games, I still wouldn't complain with a £20 port of Goldeneye / Perfect Dark.

Hahaha, I'm sure Microsoft must be feeling pretty stupid right now. :P
I'm sure they'll be able to come up with a descent game. Probably a fourth installment in the Donkey Kong Country series?

RE: I have attacked touch ds

I think Nintendo still owns the right for the Donkey Kong series. But your right about Microsoft though. Hardly worth the 1.2 million (?) they paid for Rare. At least yet.

RE: New Game...

I disagree Baronen. Many people will have bought an X-box or, alternatively, bought games because it has the Rare logo on, which makes it worthwhile. The fact that most of the Rare game have flopped is another thing...

$250 million. It's in the first sentence... Also, microsoft isn't feeling stupid. If it didn't want rare to make DS games, then they would have no choice but to stop. They are owned by Microsoft 100%. I'm a bit worried as well... Maybe microsoft is just making games for now, but if history shows anything, sooner or later they will come after the handheld market. Probably not this gen though.

Ugh, my bad, hehe.

Euan: Seriously, they've delivered nothing of quality. People buying Rare-games just because they have the Rare branding on them can't be that many. And Microsoft should care about the quality and not the sales, at least to a certain extent.

That I don't understand. Why would Microsoft let their developers make games for the competition?

Re: RE: Rare Working on the DS

Dunno. Maybe they figured if it's not getting money out of the handheld market by having a system out there, they should let rare make software for it and get some money anyway.
